ABOUT THE RANCH

GMC Motorhome Rehab Ranch exists for one reason:

To keep every classic GMC Motorhome on the road stronger, safer, and better than the day it rolled out of the factory.

For over 50 years, GMC has had one of the most passionate ownership communities in RV history.

But owning a 1970s engineering marvel comes with a challenge: no dealership, no shop, and no manual can teach you what decades of hands-on,  experience can.

That’s where the Ranch comes in.

The Ranch is a community of Ranch Hands where GMC Coach owners learn why their GMC works the way it does, how to diagnose and fix it, and how to bring these coaches back to life with confidence.

From transmissions and engines to cabinetry refinishing and everything in between, we turn complexity into clarity one video at a time.

ABOUT JIM BOUNDS

Founder, Educator,
GMC Expert

For most people, a GMC Motorhome is a rare vintage RV.

For Jim Bounds, it’s a calling.

Jim has spent decades restoring, rebuilding, and teaching every system in the GMC: drivetrain, electrical, suspension, cabinetry, engines, transmissions, and everything that makes this front-wheel-drive masterpiece unique. His knowledge isn’t theory. It’s the result of:

  • 50 years of combined mechanical experience. Jim was the previous Owner of GMC Co-Op, Operated in Orlando, Florida

  • Thousands of hours in GMC-specific restoration

  • Hands-on shop work with coaches from across the country

  • Guiding owners through breakdowns, rebuilds, and full restorations

  • Documenting technical details the factory manuals never explained

Jim’s philosophy is simple:

If you own a GMC Motorhome, you should know your coach. That's that’s how you keep it alive.
